The ancient kingdom of Upper Mustang is a remote and fascinating civilisation hidden on the far border of Tibet and Nepal. What used to be the Kingdom of Lo remained an independent state until 2008 and has only recently have foreign tourists been allowed to visit the culturally protected area. The people were originally Tibetan traders who established what is now one of the best preserved Tibetan cultures in the world. As you trek up these ancient trails you will discover picturesque whitewashed villages and colourful Buddhist monasteries that look as if they have been caught in time. The trek offer such a rich mix of history, culture and off course beautiful Himalayan mountain scenery.
