Welcome to Nepal

Hi, we are Govinda and Yadab and we run Hi Himalaya Nepal. We have been guiding tourists in the Himalayas for most of our lives and love showing off our beautiful country. 

As tourist guides we feel so lucky to be able to spend our lives exploring the stunning mountainous regions of the Himalayas, in the lush jungles of Chitwan and the beautiful and remote villages of the Kanchenjunga and Dolpo Regions. We would love to share these experiences with you and help you with your upcoming trip to Nepal.

Yadab has over 18 years experience in the Nepali tourism industry. As a kid he often saw trekking groups come through his village on their way up into the mountains which inspired Yadab to pursue a career in tourism. Since he left school Yadab has worked his way up from being a porter, guide and is now the proud owner of Hi Himalaya Nepal. In 2017 Yadab spent four months walking the length of Nepal along the Great Himalaya Trail so it safe to say that he knows his country from Amjilosa to Lumbini. 

Govinda has been working in the Himalayas for all of his life. Originally from the foothills of Dhading, Govinda moved to Kathmandu to study Journalism before working his way up to becoming a certified guide. Govinda loves being able to work in the great outdoors and taking tourists to all the unique areas of his country. His favourite trekking route is the Manaslu Circuit because it traverses through the beautiful alpine valleys and rich cultures of the Nubri and the Tsum people.
